Well, I don't qualify as an old guy (well, maybe I do, but I'm still considered a newbie as far as many hams are concerned), but when I first got on HF in August 2000, we were at a much different place in the sunspot cycle. Since then, I've got about 1800 contacts on 10m with around 150 DXCC entities worked. The neat thing about 10m is that when it opens, it really opens. You can (and will) work anywhere and everywhere. I even have a confirmed contact with a D4 station on 10m FM!
